As you all aware after completion of SSC CGL Tier-1 exam, the next big question is which topics to cover for the Tier-2 exam. In Tier-2 there are four papers. First two papers of Math and English are compulsory. Third and fourth papers are Optional for the candidate who has elected to apply for the position of Jr. Statistical Officer and AAO. SSC CGL Assistant Audit Officer AAO Syllabus (Paper 4)
The syllabus of this paper can be divided into two main sections, Finance and Accounting, Economics and Governance. The level of topics is of graduation level.  The above-listed topics are the complete set which you are required to cover. While preparing for AAO  paper keep some points in mind:-

  • Read class eleventh and twelfth NCERT books of Economics and Accounting. It will help you in grasping the basic concepts of each topic.
  • Once you complete basics from NCERT books, go through ICAI study material which you will easily get from their website. Read all the important topics as per syllabus given above and solve MCQ given at the end of each chapter.
  • Don't go in depth about any topics. Cover the basic definition and characteristics.
  • In Microeconomics give more emphasis on understanding graphs related concepts ( for e.g. graph on Marginal cost, Shut down point, demand and supply, monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic, perfect competition curve in short as well as long run, PPC, budget line, IC etc.)
  • For Macroeconomics, you can follow the book "Economics by Ramesh Singh". Read only the Study material related to AAO Syllabus.
  • Don't skip numerical questions in accounting.
  • In accounting, understanding rectification of error is like a big mountain to climb for students of non-accounting background. Thus try to have at least basic understanding of this chapter.
  • Stick to the above-given syllabus while preparing for this paper.
  • After covering above-listed topics start taking mock tests. And also do the proper analysis of the mock tests for proper understanding of the grey areas to cover.
While preparing for the Tier- 2 exam, try to cover the syllabus of Paper 3 and Paper 4 also. The most common mistake committed by aspirants while preparing for Tier – 2, exam is that they ignore the importance of covering these topics. Therefore it is an expert advice that you should try to manage time for these topics.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Expected Cut off Marks 2017


As per the official notification from SSC - the result for CGL tier I will be declared on 31/10/2017. SSC CGL is taken by lakhs of students every year. In 2017 alone there were 30 lakhs applicant for SSC CGL(Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level). SSC CGL is a highly respected post and candidates. SSC CGL 2017 Tier I - Answer Key


SSC CGL Tier 1 2017 exam was held from 5th August 2017 to 24th August 2017. The exam was held in different shifts (shift wise). The question paper will have four sets namely SET A,B,C,D for each shift. In this article, you can find answer keys available for each paper/ set. SSC CGL 2017 Answer key will help candidates to get an idea of the marks that they are likely to score in the exam. SSC will release the answer key in two stages – Provisional and Final answer key. The provisional answer key will be released and after the submission of representation, final answer key will be released. Candidates need to file representation or objections with valid proof. SSC CGL 2017 Calculation of Scores:

SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key is released. Candidates can find the correct  answer key solutions for General Intelligence and reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension section of CGL examination. The SSC CGL Tier I question paper was of 100 marks & time allotted was 60 minutes to solve the paper. There is negative marking scheme and for every wrong attempt 0.50 marks will be deducted.  The correct answer will give 2 marks.

How to Challenge SSC CGL 2017 Answer Key:

The tentative Answer Keys for SSC CGL Tier 1 have been uploaded on the website of the Commission. The candidates may login using their same User ID and Password which were used during the Examination and submit representations, if any, from 07.09.2017 (5.00 P.M.) to 12.09.2017 (5.00 P.M.) through on-line method only, on payment of Rs.100/- per answer.Representation received after the due date will not be entertained under any circumstances.

SSC CGL Final Answer Key 2017

The above answer key is tentative. After considering all the representations received, the commission will release the final answer key.
The cut off marks will depend on a number of factors. It will vary according to the exam difficulty, number of candidates appeared etc. We can get an idea of SSC CGL 2017 cut off based on the previous year’s  cut off given below:
